Oncology Massage for People Living with Cancer
Oncology Massage combines Swedish Massage (light to medium pressure) and Manual Lymphatic Drainage to help individuals manage cancer symptoms or side-effects associated with certain cancer treatments. Each session is customized to help the client manage their current level of stress and pain, safely.
Reiki Energy Therapy, Aromatherapy, Sound Therapy, Gentle Assisted Stretching or Guided Relaxation Exercises can be added to an Oncology Massage, if the client would like. Each session is based on current medical research on Oncology Massage, interactions with and information from the client and input from the client’s Oncologist and/or care team.
A medical release from the client’s oncologist is required before services can be rendered. The medical release must be on the physician’s letterhead or on a document with the physician’s name printed legibly. 60 Minutes
