Post Op Care for Plastic Surgery Recovery
- Post Op Lymphatic Massage is for individuals who have recently had Plastic Surgery. Sessions are customized based on the phase of recovery the client is in. Post Op Lymphatic Massage generally begins around day 8 post op and ends around month 2 post op. Post Op Lymphatic Massage focuses on reducing swelling and improving circulation in the surgical area in order to help reduce pain, inflammation and tissue hardness. Sessions may include any or all of the following techniques: Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatherapy, Kinesiology Taping and Cryotherapy. Post Op Health & Wellness Education is provided. Post Op Lymphatic Massage packages are available.
- Post Op Maintenance Massage begins around 8 weeks post op and can extend past 1 year post op to help maintain a contoured appearance in the surgical area. Sessions may use any of the following: Massage Therapy, Radio Frequency, Ultrasound Cavitation, Wood Therapy or Manual Lymphatic Drainage to reduce tissue tightness, soften surgical scars, reduce the appearance of lumps and bumps and reduce fluid retention in the surgical area. Post Op Maintenance Massage packages are available.
Massage Therapy
- Clinical Massage is all about reducing pain in one specific area of the body like the neck, knees, shoulders, upper back or low back. These sessions combine techniques like Cupping Therapy, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) also known as muscle scraping, Trigger Point Therapy or Myofascial Release. Clinical Massage sessions last for 30 minutes and focus on one specific area. Clients commonly book Clinical Massage Therapy due to a recommendation of a licensed medical/healthcare professional.
- Therapeutic Massage combines Spa Massage and Clinical Massage Therapy to assist in relieving stress, relaxing muscle tightness, reducing aches and pains and improving overall well-being. Hot Towels, Warm Bamboo, Aromatherapy, Hot Stones, Gua Sha, Cupping Therapy, Fascial Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Assisted Stretching and Trigger Point Therapy can be added to customize your session, as needed, at no additional cost. This form of Massage Therapy is great for people who want a relaxing massage, but have 1 or 2 areas that are causing pain or discomfort.
- Clothed Massage is done on the massage table with the client fully dressed in comfortable yoga or workout type clothing. This massage style uses clinical massage therapy, muscle compressions and assisted stretches to help increase circulation, reduce muscle pain and promote overall well-being. Warm towels and essential oils may be added to your session, as needed, at no additional charge. This form of Massage Therapy is great for people who want a relaxing massage, who want to increase their flexibility, have 1 or 2 areas that are causing pain or discomfort and don’t want to take off their clothes for massage. Clothed Massage is popular among senior citizens and some people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are sensitive to gliding touch.
- Relaxation Massage combines Swedish Massage with Mind Body Practices and Spa Therapies to create a massage that relaxes the mind, calms the mind and soothes the nervous system. Guided Relaxation, Hot Towels, Aromatherapy, Hot Stones and/or Warm Bamboo are used. Whole Body Vibration Therapy or Sound Therapy can also be added, at no additional cost. This form of Massage Therapy is all about relaxation. It’s for people who want to relax and release stress from their body and mind.
- Chair Massage helps to relieve stress, reduce muscle tension and promote general wellness. Sessions take place on a specially designed Massage Therapy chair, which makes the neck, shoulders and back easily accessible, but the head, hips, arms, hands & legs can also be addressed. During a Chair Massage, the client is fully dressed. Aromatherapy, assisted stretching and hot towels can be added to a session, at no additional cost. This form of Massage Therapy is great for a quick pick me up, when you don’t have the time to receive a longer massage.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage uses gentle rhythmic strokes to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid. Manual Lymph Drainage helps to reduce swelling, inflammation, aches and pain. It has been used to help manage Migraines, Sinusitis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Post Surgical Swelling, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Scleroderma. It has also been used to improve overall wellness by boosting the immune system and relieving stress.
Stretch Therapy
- Practitioner-Assisted Stretching is full body stretching that helps to calm the nervous system, relax tight muscles, increase circulation, stretch connective tissues, increase range of motion and improve flexibility. Sessions contain elements of Eastern and Western wellness traditions and take place on a massage table with the client fully dressed in yoga or workout clothes. Foot or Scalp Massage can be added to your session, upon request, at no additional charge.
Craniosacral Therapy
- Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive hands on therapy that helps to calm the nervous system and improve cerebrospinal fluid circulation. A large portion of the treatment focuses on the head and back, but other parts of the body are included. Craniosacral Therapy helps to relieve stress, anxiety, headaches, neck pain, and insomnia. Sessions take place on a massage table with the client fully dressed in comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement.
Energy Therapy
- Reiki Energy Therapy helps to relax the nervous system and improve energy flow throughout the body. Reiki has been used to help individuals prepare for surgery, speed up recovery after sickness, reduce pain, deepen spiritual connection, manage grief and relieve stress. Reiki sessions take place on a massage table with the client fully dressed. Each session is customized for your specific health and wellness concerns. Reiki Energy Therapy used in hospitals, cancer clinics and hospice centers all over the world.
- Energy Healing Meditation combines techniques like mindfulness, meditation, sound therapy, aromatherapy, breathwork and energy healing philosophy to help facilitate healthy energy flow and reduce anxiety, release stress, relax muscle tension and improve overall wellness.
Premium Add-On Services – Add these services to your session for an additional charge
- Abdominal Massage helps to improve the health of the organs in the abdominal region. Abdominal Massage has been used to help increase lymphatic drainage, improve circulation to abdominal organs, reduce inflammation, improve digestion, reduce constipation, boost the immune system, reduce fibroids, reduce menstrual cramps, increase relaxation and aid in liver and spleen detoxification. Please avoid this service if you are menstruating on the day of your appointment.
- Facial Massage uses Hot Towels, Aromatherapy and Massage Therapy to help to decrease tension, pain and stress in the face, head and neck. Facial Massage can help to reduce sinus congestion/pain, tension headaches and TMJ pain.
- Guided Meditation can help you to relax, release stress and reduce muscle tension. Sessions use mindfulness, breathing and visualization exercises to assist in helping you to feel more relaxed and revitalized. During your time on the massage table, you will be guided through 2 customized meditations, one at the beginning of your session and one at the end of your session.
- Craniosacral Relaxation uses Craniosacral Therapy, a gentle, non-invasive hands on therapy, to help calm the nervous system and improve the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid. Our 30 minute add-on session can help to relieve stress and promote deeper relaxation at the end of a Massage Therapy session. Craniosacral Therapy helps to relieve stress, anxiety, headaches, migraines, neck pain and insomnia.
- Reiki Rejuvenation help to create deep relaxation in the mind and body, after a massage. Reiki Energy Therapy helps to relax the nervous system and improve the flow of energy throughout the body. Clients have found Reiki to be helpful in speeding up recovery after sickness or surgery, reducing pain, managing grief and relieving stress. Reiki is performed in hospitals, cancer clinics and hospice centers in America and all over the world.
Freemium Add-On Services – Add one of these services to your session at no additional charge
- Sound Therapy uses instruments like chimes, gongs and singing bowls to help promote relaxation, decrease stress and improve overall well-being. Sound Therapy add-ons lasts about 3 – 5 minutes and take place at the end of a massage. Sound Therapy can be added to a Massage Therapy session at no additional charge.
- Whole Body Vibration Therapy involves standing or sitting on a vibrating platform that creates movement throughout the entire body. This vibration can help to improve circulation, lower blood pressure, improve lymphatic drainage, reduce pain and relieve stress.
